Seales had been struggling with their old Brake Testers for several years and required a new reliable, DVSA compliant Brake Tester. We worked them to urgently supply a BM14200 Brake Tester, which is known for being a durable and reliable commercial brake tester.

Our team organised a pit to be dug along with the necessary in-ground wiring. During the course of the installation day, our trained BM engineers installed the equipment, calibrated and tested the full functionality. Thereafter full training was provided to their team so they can now effectively service their fleet of over 20 Heavy Goods Vehicles. We are pleased to announce that we have helped Biffa in Gloucester to bring brake testing in house, to help cut costs and reduce vehicle downtime.

Biffa has been at the forefront of the UK’s waste industry for over a hundred years, with operations that span the entire breadth of the waste management process including collection, recycling, treatment, disposal and energy generation. 

The well-known company have a huge commercial fleet which is at the heart of the businesses operation.

As you can imagine, paying out externally for brake tests on a huge fleet of commercial vehicles as big as Biffa’s can be extremely expensive. As well as disruptive, as external brake tests meant that Biffa’s vehicles had to be off the roads for at least a few days each time.
