V-Tech were delighted to install the ATL bay (Class 4) for Dave Chapman LTD. A thriving local business Dave Chapman LTD, specialises in vehicle services, MOT, mechanical problems and tyres.The V-Tech ATL bay installation include, BM 4010 Brake Tester, Head Lamp Aligner, Gas Analyser, Smoke Meter, Scissor Lift, 2 Post Lift and Jacking Beam.

All the equipment we install at V-Tech comes with full DVSA approval. The lift is a European Scissor Lift, Electro Hydraulic model, built in Play Detectors and full safety features, including pressure safety valves and mechanical locking system. This is a very popular lift for MOT and ATL bay install installations, hard wearing and reliable with an additional 2 ton manual jacking beam, the lift also comes with radius plates built into the runners next to the play detectors. Other features include a wired remote control which doubles as a øashlight for checking the underside of the vehicle.

The BM 20200 comes with full TUV and GEA approval for ATL and ATF bays and with an inside clearance of up to 4m, and a maximum axle testing weight of 20 tons. It is an ideal option for commercial workshops or mobile testers alike.

When carrying out the active test we train the workshop engineers on the whole system covering any questions that may arise, best practice and procedure making sure everyone is conödent in the operation of the new kit. The unit, when set up, requires just 3 and a half meters total length to deploy the on / off ramps and 4 and a half meter clearance in width. It can also be set up on a range of surfaces – tarmac, concrete or uneven surfaces like gravel sand dirt or even snow

V-Tech installed a BM 14200 Inground Commercial Brake Tester. The BM 14200 is a robust, heavy duty roller brake tester featurin double chained gearing systems, 15KW motors, mechanical motor brakes with large hard wearing rollers. This is the preferred brake tester used by the DVSA in their goods vehicle test situations. The rollers are connected to the control unit for power, and to relay all the diagnostic information as well as the brake test information. Each roller conveys automatic Axle weight through separate weighing cells and through the PC unit. It can also be programmed to test any vehicle from passenger cars to heavy goods vehicles. All V-Tech engineers are trained directly by BM to install and maintain their equipment.

V-Tech are installing a BM 20200 Mobile Brake Tester. Without the need for any civil work, this was a relatively straight-forward job. Once unpacked the øeet, wheels are set up, and the runners are set into place. The power is connected to the control unit, PC station with the Flex Check software loaded up which is loaded up which is connected to the brake tester and the tablet conögured for remote testing. To manage the size and weight of some of the vehicles in the S.E Davis øeet. V-Tech have arranged a customised BM 20200 to öt the exact client needs. This particular model has upgrade heavy duty gear boxes and motors. The rollers and the test bed have been extended giving an extra meter clearance to accomodate the widest of S E Davis plant machinery. The ramps have also been widened and extra length added for ease of use. V-Tech provide a full 360͌BM Brake Tester service both for domestic and domestic and commercial models.

The 4 Post lift that was installed was an OMA-526B Electro Hydraulic model featuring 4 ton lifting Capacity, with radius plates and rear slip-Plates for wheel alignment and full safety features, including pressure safety valves and mechanical locking system.
