The V-Tech team recently supported Baileys A&R in the installation of a BM7110 Class 4 NON-ATL Roller Brake Tester, an Opus 40 Gas Analyser, and an Opus 100 Smoke Meter.

Baileys, a family-run business based in Swindon since 1978, began its garage journey repairing accident-damaged vehicles. In more recent years the Baileys team have broadened their offering and developed into a complete vehicle repair centre offering all types of mechanical, electrical, servicing, alongside accident repairs and bodywork restoration services.

Attaining new revolutionary equipment played a critical role in their businesses development plans. V-Tech equipment was chosen for its cutting-edge properties that would give the garage ‘the competitive edge’.

The V-Tech BM7110 roller brake tester was installed to Baileys’ specification and allowed the team to utilise the inspection pits to their fullest potential. Furthermore, this product is prepared for test line expansion allowing them to continue growing the services they offer when the time is right for their business!

The user-friendly BM Flex Check interface allows Baileys’ mechanics to seamlessly collect data readings, as well as capture data seamlessly – even via their smartphones!

The V-tech team of professional engineers have recently installed a BM20200 brake tester unit for Cullen Transport, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Cullen Transport is a long-established family-run business that provides quality road haulage transport and vehicle maintenance. The company now operates a modern mixed fleet of over 30 vehicles and were looking for a quality brake tester to run their own brake testing in-house. The BM20200 mobile RBT is the leading model from Danish company BM who are known throughout the world for building some of the most robust and easy to use equipment in the industry. The V-tech team provided the perfect configuration for Cullen Transport and professionally installed the kit along with full on-site training for all the staff.

Now Cullen transport can perform DVSA authorised brake testing for their own fleet as well as perform tests for other commercial vehicles at their workshop.

Star Commercials, a workshop based in Doncaster, have decided to take the plunge and invest in our BM14200 Roller Brake Tester.

The reason for the investment

Methods

Seth Punchard, haulage and distribution company based in Derbyshire have recently decided to bring brake testing in house with our BM20200 Commercial Mobile Brake Tester.

The family run haulage company have a fleet of over 40 commercial rigid and articulated vehicles. These vehicles are at the heart of the business operation, and are used daily to deliver a wide variety of materials throughout the UK and Europe. Therefore, vehicle safety is incredibly important to the business to ensure they are running on the roads safely.
In fact, their attention to vehicle safety and compliance has earned Seth Punchard a Gold FORS accreditation. It is this drive for excellence that has led to the decision to bring their brake testing in-house.

Miller Plant, who offer earth works services, demolition services and much more, decided to invest in our popular BM14200 Roller Brake Tester. The Aberdeen based workshop wanted to bring brake testing in-house and like many of our customers, they wanted to experience the benefits of in-house brake testing first-hand.

As you can imagine, paying external agencies for brake tests can be extremely expensive and their investment allows them to reduce vehicle downtime and labour time significantly.

Each roller conveys automatic axle weight through separate weighing cells and through the PC unit. It can also be programmed to test any vehicle from passenger cars to heavy goods vehicles.
