BM CLS – Type A Chassis Load Simulation

BM CLS – Type A Chassis Load Simulation

The Type A Chassis Load Simulation is a pit wall mounted load simulation system.

Product Description

The BM CLS – Type A chassis load simulation system consists of cassettes rolling on rails placed on the edges of the inspection pit.

This system features a range of options that allows for a costumized configuration.

Options

  • Modular system to load vehicles up to 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 Tonnes.

  • Supplied with minimum 2 x CLS cassettes and up to 8 x CLS cassettes.
    • Load simulation from 10 Ton up to 80 Ton.
    • Designed so they can operate in existing pit rails used for the pit jack with a minimum of modifications.
    • Each cassette has an integrated hydraulic cylinder hooked to the chassis via chains and special BM self-tensioning claws.

  • CLS rails are fitted approximately 3-4 meters before and after the brake tester.

  • The hydraulic hoses are drawn inside flexible caterpillar tracks that controls their position at all times and protect them against damages.

  • Can be supplied as a standalone system hence it can be used in conjunction with most brands of brake testers.

Technical Data

CLS cassettes

2 – 8 pcs.

Load simulation

10 – 80 Ton

Vehicle load

10, 20, 30, 40, 50 Ton

  • The load simulator cassettes remain attached at one point throughout the vehicle tester. The load simulator cassettes move forward with the vehicle during the test.
  • The operator can fully control the load application from his remote control unit from the vehicle cabin.
  • Will not reduce the functionality nor the operation area of the pit jack.
  • Can be fitted to practically any inspection pit regardless of the width of the inspection pit etc.

Applications

  1. The requested load on the axle being tested is entered via the remote control and the computer controlled CLS system is activated.
  2. The brake test of the axle is conducted.
  3. The load application is released via the remote control.
  4. The vehicle is driven forward to the next axle. The CLS cassettes stay on the chassis while the vehicle is being moved as the claws make sure the chains remain fixed to the chassis and the cassettes are smoothly being pulled forward rolling on the rails.
  5. The requested load on the next axle is entered vi the remote control, the load simulation is activated and the brake test is conducted.

All of this without the operator having to leave the cabin between test of axles.
